Jennifer invited us for a day at her parents pool on Sunday. It was a beautiful day - the pool was fantastic and they even grilled hotdogs & burgers for us! What a treat - THANKS Mr. & Mrs. Grantham!!! Brandon was excited to find giant water guns to play with.Laedyn was fearless. She LOVED being in the water and sat in the little baby boat for hours. She really got excited when we propelled her around the pool. She wanted to go faster & faster. She was also amused when we played "bumper boat" and made her run into people. Nick enjoyed paddling around too - even though he swears he doesn't know how to swim. He was had the most fun when Jennifer brought out a scuba mask. We all had fun diving for rings with the mask!
Laedyn got very hungry after about an hour in the water. I put her on a towel with some peanut butter cookies & she didn't move an inch until she'd devoured all of them. The she drank an entire sippy cup of juice water! After that she was ready to get back in her boat...Jennifer soaking up some sun and staying cool in the pool :-)Do you know how irrisitable it is to flip people over when they're floating so peacefully on a raft????
Mark was there too ... he swam alot - I just didn't happen to get a good shot of him in the pool. I guess he was under water diving for rings too much of the time.
The Granthams have invited us to come back on the 4th! I can't wait!!!

A glimpse of The Frown! She can really get those brows furrowed - it cracks us up. Here she's riding a tiny rocking horse that was Nick's when he was little. His name is painted on the other side - Nicky... Obviously Brandon still like to play on it too.
Laedyn also likes the bigger rocking horse that was mine (& my brothers') when we were little. It seems to have lost it's handles...hmmm. See her little tongue sticking out while she's concentrating on trying to get on the horse? Nick does the exact same thing!
I just had to include this because I loved her expression. She was playing with Brandon's bike helmet.
We needed a new picture with Jema. She's not doing so well any more and spends the majority of her time sleeping under this chair. She never objects to some ear scratching from anyone and is very fond of Brandon. She always climbs up on to the couch to cuddle with him when he's watching TV.
