Nick will be 40 on Christmas day. His friend and running partner, Rich, turned 40 in September. In an effort to surprise the guys with a 40th birthday bash, Regina and I chose to celebrate their big 40 somewhere in between. It worked perfectly. Best of all, Nick's Mom and Art came down for the party & Nick didn't know they were there until he walked into the party & saw them! My parents also came down to help celebrate. 
Regina ordered a cake from Blue Cake Company and asked for a running theme. They did the rest & it turned out wonderfully. It was also delicious!

My friend Jamie was a huge help. She orchestrated the set up while Regina & I went to gather the guys and lure them to the party. She also helped me transport an obscene number of helium balloons that continually came unclipped.
